Initial Meeting. The bride and groom and the Leisure Travel Shop discuss the possibilities for a honeymoon. Typically, the discussion includes the type of resort required, the location, the number of expected guests, and the travel budget. Most brides choose today to get married in the United States and to have the ceremony at the resort destination. Three to four days is the normal length for a destination wedding. It is a party so it is important to the wedding couple to have their friends and family together with them at the resort. Wedding party arrangements are typically made by the Leisure Travel Shop by selecting a coordinator from the hotel to handle the ground arrangements during the wedding ceremony and afterwards at a wedding party. During the meeting, typically one to three choices are discussed in general with selection made after costs and schedules can be finalized.
Bride and Groom Arrangements. The Leisure Travel Shop then makes the reservations for the resort, the schedule for the wedding, and the budget for travel. The Bride and Groom make their deposits for the resort. The couple then make their announcements that the Leisure Travel Shop will be arranging the travel for the wedding. Typically, the couple send emails to their list of friends and family and provide the email list to the Leisure Travel Shop.
Travel Arrangements. The friends and family call the Leisure Travel Shop and make their individual travel arrangements. Periodically, a report is given to the couple of the travelers to the destination wedding. The bride and groom should are sheltered from the details so that they can make other arrangments.
Wedding Arrangements. The Leisure Travel Shop works with the resort and selects a wedding coordinator for the destination wedding. The couple are connected to the wedding coordiator. Typically, nothing has to be done until the month prior to the wedding.
